Hospital Bag- What to Bring?

What to bring to the hospital the day I give birth? This was a a question that daunted over me about a month before my due date. It seems like such a simple task, however, I really did not know what to bring! I found it to be super helpful to hear from others what they brought with them to the hospital. Keep in mind, my plan was to have the baby and go home as soon as I could. Thankfully, there were no complications and I was able to leave the hospital within 24 hours after giving birth.

In the end, I ended up making a bag for me, my husband, our baby, and a cooler.

My bag: Birth plan Hair ties Deodorant Lavender Facial hydrosol Toothbrush Toothpaste Mouthwash Natural hand soap and sanitizer Slipper sandals 2 pairs of socks Robe 2 Cute hospital gowns (gownies.com) I gave birth in one and changed in to new one. Comfy outfit to go home in

Husband's bag: Deodorant Sweatshirt Mouthwash Toothpaste Toothbrush

Baby's bag: 2 take home outfits (onesies with hat) Organic Jojoba oil (great for cleaning meconium poops) Organic diapers Organic baby wipes Organic shampoo/body wash (just in case even though we chose not to bathe her until a week later)

Cooler: Pack of coconut water Bottled water Protein bars

Bag of almonds

*Note: The bags I brought were machine washable tote bags from www.ju-ju-be.com. I loved the fact that I could throw them in the wash after being at the hospital. Great quality, I highly recommend them!
